Turkey Name Tags.

Good evening, my friends! This weeks design team project is
custom name tags for an event I was asked to hostess.
I made these name tags using the file called "Gobble til you wobble-2012"
from www.scrappydew.com.  You can find the file here  http://scrappydew.cartloom.com/shop/item/73417

With Thanksgiving around the corner, and with me being thankful for this opportunity to meet so many great people, I decided to go with this fun design.

Thank you for stopping by!                  ~Jen

Not all scarecrows have to be scary!

I am just LOVING this Scarecrow from www.svgcuts.com !
You can find him in the ~Leaves are Falling SVG kit~
http://svgcuts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=371

I started out by sizing al the parts in Cricut Design Space.
Each Kit comes with the measurements, so that you can properly
size everything to cut with your Cricut Explore.

This is the Scarecrows vest.  It was really easy to assemble.

These pieces are to make his pants.  One leg will have small holes
so that you can tell them apart from the other leg.

The Scarecrows Hat.  A little tricky, but you catch on pretty
quickly. Make sure to allow the glue to dry before moving on
to the next panel.

These pieces will make up the head and hair of the scarecrow.
This part took a little extra time to glue, as the pieces were a little
harder to glue for the inside part of the head.

Shirt, arms and straw..was pretty easy to assemble. The nice part about this file is that
they number each piece, so it makes assembling much easier.

I added some string to accent the cuff of his pants.
I just love seeing it all come together.

Cute little banner That I attached with some metal leaf brads.
You can find instuctional videos with all of their kits on their website.
I highly reccomend watching them, there are a lot of pieces which can be
very intimidating...but the video walks you through..step by step!

The cornstalks shown can also be found on www.svgcuts.com
They are part of the Enchanted Autumn SVG kit. They have battery
operated tealights in each one. Their file had them sized at 5 inches tall
but I just stretched them out to 11 inches tall, to match the height
of the scarecrow.

Thank you all for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed this as much as
I enjoyed making him!!

Fall centerpiece

I made this Fall centerpiece using the Harvest Treat Toppers & Cards file from My Scrap Chick.  http://www.myscrapchick.com/product.cfm?product=857

This was made for the dinner I attended with Mr. Ashish Arora ( The Cricut CEO).  He really loved it. One lucky attendee won this after the dinner. She was very excited!

Frankenstein Banner

Hello friends! Today's Scrappydew design team project is a Frankenstein Halloween Banner. I used the Franky's Halloween file from Scrappydew. http://scrappydew.cartloom.com/shop/item/66670
Gelly roll pens are my favorite for accenting the eyes.
I chalked the edges to give it the slight worn out effect.
The tiles I used for the banner are rounded squares that I cut at 5 inches.
The top layer tiles are cut at 4 inches
I punched holes in the pieces to string ribbon through each piece.
I used 1/8 inch satin ribbon. I like this stringing technique because it allows you to space each tile as far apart from the next as I want.
Here is the finished banner. I can't wait to create many more Halloween projects. Scrappydew has a ton of cute designs to choose from.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Throwback Thursday

I thought I would follow trend with "Throwback Thursday" that everyone posts on Facebook.

Here you will see a few projects that I made way back when...

Being an Army family, we are very supportive of our Military.  These were made
for a Welcome Home party for a soldier coming home from Iraq.

A blogger from Paris featured me on her blog. She requested some cupcake toppers for
her husband on Valentine's day.  The frog and koala represented the two of them.

Here is a sign I made for a Noah's Ark themed baby shower.
It was a huge hit at the party.
